The Field Technician/Installer is responsible for all Agri-Valley Services installations and service calls as well as the installation of Thumb Cellular BDA’s. The position works closely with customers to resolve service related and equipment issues ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Install and troubleshoot customer connections on the wireless broadband network.
Install BDA equipment at customer locations for cellular network.
Perform pre-installation site surveys to determine service availability at a given location.
Gather Customer Premise equipment from cancelled accounts.
Provide second tier customer support as needed.
Monitor performance reports.
Maintain detailed and accurate records and documents.
Provide accurate and timely reports as required by manager.
Assist with the cellular and landline networks when needed.
Perform job duties within Company health and safety requirements.
High school diploma or GED required.
Successfully complete and maintain climbing certification.
High-comfort level with heights, climbing ladders and TV towers, navigating roofs as well as confined spaces/crawlspaces.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Basic understanding of radio frequency preferred.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively with little supervision required.
Ability to work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain or snow.
Possess good troubleshooting and organizational skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Meet MDOT requirements for medium duty commercial vehicles.
Successfully complete pre-employment background screening.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

This position requires a valid driver’s license for daily travel necessary to perform job duties.
This job operates outdoors in all weather conditions.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time regular position. Hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
