Tech Team Technician

Department:

AVS Tech Team

Reports to:

Agri-Valley Services and Pigeon Telephone Manager

Job Description

Summary/Objective:

The Tech Team Technician is responsible for diagnosing, installing, maintaining, repairing and upgrading computer systems and equipment for both internal and external customers.  The position also acts as a technical resource in order to assist users with resolving computer issues.

Essential Functions:

  1. Receive and respond to incoming calls and emails regarding hardware and PC problems.

  2. Provide support and training to all customers on computer or other technology operation issues.

  3. Act as a liaison with external support agencies to resolve faults efficiently.

  4. Install various computer/network solutions, audio/video equipment, structured wiring, etc., using basic hand/power tools in home, commercial, and outdoor settings.

  5. Maintain and report accurate records of time and materials used for all work orders.

  6. Communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

  7. Investigate and research current trends in technology.

  8. Behave in a professional manner with customers and co-workers.

  9. Perform job duties within Company health and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or GED required.

  2. CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications required.

  3. Experience in telecommunications, electrical, construction, or related field preferred.

  4. Working knowledge of handheld electronics, including smart phones, iPads, etc. preferred.

  5. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders up to 40 feet in length and stand for extended periods of time.

  6. Must be able to work in tight spaces, including attics and crawl spaces.

  7. Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions, including precipitation and temperature variations.

  8. Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

  9. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Customer Service Representative

Job Description

Summary/Objective:

The Agri-Valley Services Customer Service Representative shall provide customer service and support to our internet customers as well as potential customers through personal interaction, telephone conversations and email messages.  As part of the AVS customer service team, the Customer Service Representative shall provide technical support, maintain office records, receive payments, create reports, assist with billing questions as well as other assigned tasks.

Essential Functions:

  1. Answer telephone calls, assist walk-in customers, make daily deposit and reply to email messages.

  2. Assist new DSL and truNet customers with service set up and activation.

  3. Assure customer needs are addressed promptly with quality service that, if possible, exceeds the customers’ expectations.

  4. Provide basic technical support for connectivity.

  5. Take customer payments in person and via the phone.

  6. Address questions and concerns regarding customer accounts.

  7. Assist with Pigeon Telephone Business office when needed.

  8. Understand and enforce company policies and procedures with regards to customers.

  9. Address customer concerns, needs, complaints, questions and compliments with management team.

  10. Perform job duties within Company health and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or GED required.

  2. Possess good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  3. Previous customer service experience desired.

  4. Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

  5. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail.

  6. Successfully complete pre-employment background screening.

Customer Care Representative - caro office

Job Description

Summary/Objective:

The Thumb Cellular Customer Care Representative is responsible for acting as a liaison between Thumb Cellular customers and the company.  The position requires working with the public to assist with sales, complaints, errors, account questions, billing, cancellations and other inquiries. 

Essential Functions:

  1. Provide excellent customer service to existing and new customers via the phone as well as in person.

  2. Assist new and existing customers with account setup, activations and adjustments.

  3. Responsible for demonstrating product and accessory functionality of devices to customers.

  4. Assist customers with cellular device inquires, ESN changes (upgrades), repairs, accessories, lease and demo devices.

  5. Answer customer questions about their account, including but not limited to, billing concerns, cancellations, usage and disconnections.

  6. Take customer payments in person and via the phone.

  7. Document customer interactions and adjustments in customer account records.

  8. At all times, follow all CPNI and Red Flag regulations.

  9. Behave in a professional manner with customer and co-workers.

  10. Perform job duties within Company health and safety requirements.
