Job Description

Summary/Objective:

The Tech Team Technician is responsible for diagnosing, installing, maintaining, repairing and upgrading computer systems and equipment for both internal and external customers.  The position also acts as a technical resource in order to assist users with resolving computer issues.

Essential Functions:

  1. Receive and respond to incoming calls and emails regarding hardware and PC problems.

  2. Provide support and training to all customers on computer or other technology operation issues.

  3. Act as a liaison with external support agencies to resolve faults efficiently.

  4. Install various computer/network solutions, audio/video equipment, structured wiring, etc., using basic hand/power tools in home, commercial, and outdoor settings.

  5. Maintain and report accurate records of time and materials used for all work orders.

  6. Communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

  7. Investigate and research current trends in technology.

  8. Behave in a professional manner with customers and co-workers.

  9. Perform job duties within Company health and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or GED required.

  2. CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications required.

  3. Experience in telecommunications, electrical, construction, or related field preferred.

  4. Working knowledge of handheld electronics, including smart phones, iPads, etc. preferred.

  5. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders up to 40 feet in length and stand for extended periods of time.

  6. Must be able to work in tight spaces, including attics and crawl spaces.

  7. Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions, including precipitation and temperature variations.

  8. Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

  9. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Maintenance Worker

Job Description

Summary/Objective:

The Maintenance position performs routine and preventative maintenance and repair duties.  This position troubleshoots minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing and equipment repair or replacement for all company owned facilities.

Essential Functions:

  1. Performs routine plumbing repairs including but not limited to, unstopping toilets and sinks, fixing water leaks and leaking faucets.

  2. Performs routine minor electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs and replacing ballasts and lighting fixtures.

  3. Performs preventative building maintenance, including but not limited to, caulking windows and doors, repair/replace broken windows, patch holes in walls and repair/replace door fixtures.

  4. Cleans buildings and grounds areas as assigned to provide an effective working environment, preventing damage and/or limiting liability exposure.

  5. Assembles and moves office furniture, hangs pictures, white boards, cork boards etc., moves and sets up tables and chairs when needed.

  6. Coordinates with assigned supervisor for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.

  7. Performs inspections of the premises and ensures that any hazardous conditions are addressed in a timely manner.

  8. Complies with safety and environmental regulations.

  9. Prepares written materials, including but not limited to, repair status, activity logs and equipment location logs, for documenting activities and/or conveying information.

  10. Perform job duties within Company health and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or GED required.

  2. Previous maintenance work experience desired.

  3. Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

  4. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively with little supervision required.

  5. Ability to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain or snow.

  6. Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.

  7. High-comfort level with heights and climbing ladders.

  8. Successfully complete pre-employment background screening.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires a valid driver’s license for local, daily travel but some out-of-area travel and overnight stays may be expected.
