Courier/FLOAT CUSTOMER CARE REPRESENTATIVE

Summary/Objective:

The Courier/Float Customer Care Representative is responsible for delivering packages and documents between various AVCI business locations throughout the our service area.  The position also requires working with Thumb Cellular current and potential customers to assist with sales, account questions, billing and payments, complaints, errors cancellations and other inquiries.  Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift at least 10 pounds.  

Essential Functions:

  1. Perform daily courier route to AVCI offices in Pigeon, Bad Axe, Caro & Sandusky.

  2. Float to various Thumb Cellular offices to assist with Customer Care Representative responsibilities as needed.

  3. Assist new and existing customers with account setup, activations and adjustments.

  4. Responsible for demonstrating product and accessory functionality of devices to customers.

  5. Assist customers with cellular device inquires, ESN changes (upgrades), repairs, accessories, lease and demo devices.

  6. Answer customer questions about their account, including but not limited to, billing concerns, cancellations, usage and disconnections.

  7. Take customer payments in person and via the phone.

  8. Document customer interactions and adjustments in customer account records.

  9. At all times, follow all CPNI and Red Flag regulations.

  10. Behave in a professional manner with customer and co-workers.

  11. Perform job duties within Company health and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or GED required.

  2. Possess good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  3. Previous customer service experience desired.

  4. Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

  5. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail.

  6. Ability to lift at least 10 pounds.

  7. Successfully complete pre-employment background screening.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires a valid driver’s license for daily travel necessary to perform job duties.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment as well as frequently being outdoors in all weather conditions.     

Expected Hours of Work:

The schedule for this position is as follows:

  • Monday – Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM

  • Wednesday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM

  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
